About Us

Hello, I’m Francesca Désir, founder and CEO of Château Désir. Growing up my parents made sure to instill a sense of pride in me of my culture and people. A lot of the people in my family are creatives so as I got older, I explored my own creativity and wondered about the worlds of art and culture and fell in love. These interests that took over my life paired with the teachings of my parents are the reason why Château Désir exists today. It can be hard to support black businesses when you spend more time trying to find them than you do shopping from them. At Château Désir, you don’t have to worry about doing the research, all you have to do is shop.

I created Château Désir as a place for black businesses, big and small, to be celebrated by providing accessibility to these businesses for the customers who want to support them. I love connecting with people who are passionate about what they do and I have created Château Désir to help black business owners share their passion with the world.
